Summertime brings a whole new group of events to scrapbook…. everything from graduations to family vacations.  With so many events in such a short time it’s a wonder how we can keep it all together and get pages or mini books done without forgetting feelings and memories or what happened! 

Here is how the Scrappin’ Time team stays organized in the busy months of the summer and then gets their projects done to showcase what a wonderful time they had:

Melissakay:  “I have so much going on from trips back east to childrens accomplishments.  In order to capture the memories I organize my photos as I empty my camera onto my computer.  While most computers are pretty fast I take an extra couple of minutes to jot down notes in my “word” program and save it as a file on my computer.  If I have an extraordinary day I write things down in a notebook I keep in my purse.  This is easy as adding a few extra sheets of folded paper into my purse next to my checkbook, this way when something happens I can jot down a feeling or funny thing that was said or done.   This is a great habbit to get into, as when my page is full, I just type it up and print it! BAM, journaling done!  

Well Creative Cafe has been a part of your store for nearly six months now.  Many of you have enjoyed buying the felt words and flowers by the ones and twos to complete projects and add final touches on cards.  Don’t forget that we do a “Happy Hour” make and takes once a month!  Keep an eye out in the new April, May & June flier for the events and times.  Happy Hours are done on Saturdays, and usually go from 11-3.  Please feel free to sign up ahead of time to guarantee your kit.  898-7414

Each time we do a “Happy Hour” it is a themed make and take, prices are posted along with a picture. 

Keep in mind that you are more than welcome to come to the Creative Cafe and browse through the recipe cards that we get each month.  When you decide on a project then you can pick and choose the elements you wish to use.  Take the colored instructions and items home with you and complete at your own time.   Or feel free to utilize our class room and complete these projects during a Midnight Madness!

mHello fellow scrappers.  We are going to discuss the idea of spring cleaning.  It has come to the attention of the Scrappin’ Time family that many of you are getting too much stuff, on more that one occasion I have had you guys ask what to do with all your old stuff.  Well on that note it is time for some spring cleaning, out with the old and in with alll the new CHA stuff!!  YAY!   Don’t go and get rid of all of your old items yet!  Start sorting them, reorganize them into different catergories so that you might use them.  Keep in mind in August we do the annual Garage sale where you can sell all of your old items for store credit to get new stuff!  

If you have too much and you have tried the garage sale route before then keep in mind donating it to a non-profit organization can be a great idea and especially during tax season will provide a nice deduction!  Be sure to get reciepts for all donations!
